How To Have Your Warmest Winter Even When It’s Cold Outside

It may be winter out here in the northern hemisphere, but that doesn’t mean you have to be cold. For years, REI, Patagonia, Columbia were the go-to brands in the outerwear space. These were not typically seen as a high end luxury piece. There is however one that entered the high-end market in the mid 2000’s that’s changed how we view high-end and the winter. This brand is now world-renowned and seen on the streets of New York City. If you’ve been wondering what this brand is all about, I’m about to tell you. This top brand that seemingly created a new market, Canada Goose.

Canada Goose

When you think of Canada – what comes to mind? Canada is known for the production of maple syrup, ice hockey, maybe the loon, and defiantly the cold.  Similar to North Face, Canada Goose started out as performance gear for the artic weather.   Researchers and explorers in Antarctica, and fearless climbers of the highest mountains on earth have used Canada Goose for years before the Hollywood scene began embracing Canada Goose. Canada Goose’s jackets range anywhere from $475 for a Brookvale Jacket to over $1,500 for a Snow Mantra Parker. So what makes Canada Goose jacket worth the high price? It’s the high quality, durability and the lifetime warranty against defects that the manufacturer provides.  For example, Canada Goose does not use fake fur because it does not act the same way real fur does to protect the skin against frostbite. Canada Goose also has a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. However, the warranty does not cover repairs due to normal wear and tear. On their website Canada Goose claims that they have heard stories that their products have been used past 30 and 40 years. So next time you are looking for a jacket – think of Canada Goose as an investment for a LIFETIME rather than a purchase.
